Tuhin Sir, the last four days saw me on great tenterhooks since I was riveted reading your latest, 'The Edge Of Power.' There is something in the book that I found very unusually amazing.

While the previous part of this series, 'The Edge Of Desire,' saw an emerging, a learner, and a victim in the form of Shruti Ranjan; this part very brilliantly depicts the incumbent, skilled and victorious Shruti Ranjan down the political lanes. The crude male chauvinism that was earlier put into the scenario has again been delved into, in this book, with tremendous dexterity. The silent sufferings of Rhea and Catherine reveal it and here, I would sincerely want to give a big Thumbs Up to you!

What I again find quite impressive in your books is your effortless style. The way you take up real incidents and weave them into the thread of fiction, and still seem as effortless and elegant, is something very remarkable about your stories. And obviously, the subtle political, geographical, social and emotional scrutiny that you carry throughout the story is again something very brilliant and instinctive of you. In the concluding part where you have mentioned 'Poetic Justice' instantly made me feel that unlike Shakespearian plays, your novels do deliver concretely on this front. However, just like Shakespeare, you too appeared hasty in the last two chapters. It should have gone bit slow and fluidly.

However, the chief thing that struck me strongly is none other than the relentless, discreet, matured and forthright approach of the resurgent Shruti Ranjan. The way she has been portrayed made me fall in love with her yet again!

"Yes, time indeed has come a full circle for Shruti Ranjan', mulled she, smiling at the ways of destiny." Ah! Loved it! Many a times, in the course of reading her here, my eyes welled up. Overwhelmed and thrilled were I when she first appeared in the picture and then in the streamline after three years. The manner she contained herself despite losing everything on the personal front is incredibly commanding. But then, the pragmatic lanes of power are perhaps meant to reel under the dearth of any entertainment to emotions.

Thank You for giving such a distinguished read!
